The charter of the Christian community
United to the Cistercian Order, and in particular to the Abbey of Lerrins, in agreement with the bishop of Liege, "The Christian Community of Val-Dieu" was given the abbey of Val-Dieu that it continues to be a suitable place for spirituality in our time.
The project will be in the tradition of monasticism and in what has lived in Val-Dieu since 1216.
He therefore based on the Urle of St. Benedict, Benedictine and Cistercian tradition.
The community endorses this statement of St. Bernard: " In life, we seek peace: peace with God, peace with his neighbor and peace with oneself."

The Christian community of Val-Dieu tries to be carried away by the psalms.
Psalm 4 says among other things:
"Many are asking, "Who can show us any good?"
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD."
